SunTrust International Center Lobby Showcases “Yoa Art – Life Sized” Art Exhibit Through Nov. 27

MIAMI, FLA – SunTrust International Center’s lobby is showcasing the vibrant oversized paintings of young Miami-based artist Urayoán “YOA” Ruiz Paneque, in the YoaArt – Life Sized exhibit that runs through Nov. 27.

Leased and managed by Stiles, the corporate office tower located at 1 SE 3rd Avenue in Downtown Miami provides a spacious, upscale setting for the original oil paintings.  The lobby art exhibit is free and open to the public weekdays from 9 a.m to 5 p.m.

YoaArt – Life Sized is the latest in SunTrust International Center’s ongoing series of exhibits featuring the work of South Florida artists.  “Our location in the heart of Downtown Miami makes this building an ideal venue to showcase the region’s emerging and established artists,” said Michael Taylor, Stiles Realty’s Director of Leasing for Miami.  “Visitors can view an exhibit on a lunchtime stroll – and our tenants enjoy the ever-changing ‘gallery’ space."

Artist YOA, a native of Puerto Rico, started as a photo-realistic painter before developing his unique, highly detailed approach.  The artist notes that he works to stretch the boundaries of creativity, with patterns, shapes and lines that create movement.  The complex patterns inside his paintings are done entirely by hand.  His work has been featured in publications such as Art Business News and the Miami Herald.

The 418,916-square-foot SunTrust International Center has proved an enduring corporate draw since its construction in 1973.  Renovated in 2002, the tower offers panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and the City of Miami and is within walking distance of the Metromover and Metrorail, Miami Dade County and Federal Courthouses, as well as Bayside Marketplace and American Airlines Arena.
