Stiles Realty Leases Over 26,000 Square Feet at Three Florida Retail Centers
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Ryan Karlin, director of retail leasing for Stiles Realty, today announced 26,532 square feet in new lease and renewal commitments at retail centers in South and Central Florida, and within Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas Boulevard retail district.
On Las Olas Boulevard:
- 1109 East Las Olas – Asia Bay leased 2,400 square feet for a sushi restaurant.
- 613 East Las Olas – Art Cavixi leased 865 square feet for a gallery featuring wood crafted items.
At Village Shoppes at Pines Plaza in Sunrise:
- Residential Savings leased 2,279 square feet.
- Serenity Insurance Services leased 1,368 square feet, with Michael Eisner of Remax representing the tenant.
- Luxe Dry Cleaners leased 1,300 square feet.
- Niki’s Hair Studio signed a new lease for 1,240 square feet.
Stiles Retail Leasing Agent Irma Figueroa represented the owner, a Stiles partnership, in all the above transactions, which have five-year terms. Stiles Retail Leasing Agent Alison Horbach teamed with Figueroa on the Luxe Dry Cleaners transaction. The 234,169-square-foot Village Shoppes at Pines Plaza community shopping center is located at 4151 N. Pine Island Rd., with anchors Winn-Dixie and Sunrise Cinemas.
At University Shoppes in Davie:
Figueroa also handled two new leases for the Stiles partnership that owns the 60,000-square foot center, located at the northwest corner of University Drive and I-595.
- Sug-Art by Ruthie leased 2,100 square feet for two years.
- Big Frog leased 900 square feet for four years.
Recent lease renewals at University Shoppes include:
- West Broward Club, 3,690 square feet
- Egret, 1,800 square feet, with Jill Lache as co-broker
- Better Care Home Health Services, 1,410 square feet
- Jet Clean Dry Cleaners, 1,200 square feet
- Padrino’s Restaurant, 1,200 square feet
- Van’s Shoe Repair, 425 square feet
Karlin also reported two leases at Red Willow Plaza in Winter Springs, where major renovations were completed this spring. The 93,625-square-foot center at Red Bug Lake Rd. and Tuscawilla Rd. is 90 percent leased, Karlin said. Stiles Retail Leasing Agent Heather Lannon represented the owner, a joint venture of Stiles Corporation and Guggenheim Real Estate in these transactions at the shopping plaza:
- Party Land, one of the largest international retail party supply stores, has signed a new lease at 2,835 square feet for five years.
- Mail Copy Plus, a packing, shipping and mailing center, has renewed its 1,520 square-foot lease for a term of five years.
