As Vice President, Pete works hand-in-hand with the President. He is involved with strategy and corporate guidance, and mentors and manages a team of architects and project assistants. Pete interacts closely with clients to complete contract negotiations and preliminary design work. He also represents the corporation as a Trustee member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. With nearly 30 years of experience handling a variety of projects, Pete proudly earned his architectural license at the young age of 26. In 1987 he joined Stiles as a Project Architect and completed designs on a variety of projects, including office, retail, public-sector, and warehouse/distribution assignments, handling each project from conception to completion. More recently, Pete has been involved with the “Green” building movement and has achieved LEED accreditation through the USGBC.
Pete has successfully completed a number of architectural projects for clients with varying design needs. Most notably, he has nurtured his 18-year relationship with El Dorado Furniture, designing over 10 warehouses and showrooms, which have ranged from 18,000 to 500,000 square feet and from $2.5 to $10 million. Pete’s experience also encompasses high-rise structures, including Stiles’ former corporate headquarters at 300 Las Olas Place, a 9-story, 100,000-square-foot, $13-million, design-build project, as well as 200 Las Olas Circle, a 16-story, 445,000-square-foot, $41-million, design-build, Class-A office / mixed-use. Both buildings are located in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Pete holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, and is a Registered Architect with the State of Florida.
