Mr. Blake Stranz joined Stiles in November 2020 to oversee the Station Maintenance Management of 18 commuter train stations for the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA).

Blake is a broadly skilled Project Manager with more than 15 years of experience in general contracting and business administration. He has overseen multiple projects with budgets in excess of half a million dollars, including management of subcontractors in multiple trades. He possesses deep understanding of light construction including structural, seismic, mechanical (electrical, HVAC, plumbing) and finishes. He has a keen eye for service and maintenance issues and is adept in developing comprehensive plans for regular maintenance and pre-emptive repairs to minimize additional scope of work.

In his professional career, Blake has led teams of inhouse staff as well as freelancers and contractors to achieve business goals in construction projects as well as in traditional corporate environments. His degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, MN) provided a strong backbone that he leveraged to build his career. His ability to build rapport with employees and clients creates a high level of trust and spirit of collaboration.

Blake is familiar with OSHA work area safety protocols, including controlled-access zones (CAZ), security access fencing, personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection and work zone marking and signage. Is familiar with and accustomed to developing and delivering team safety briefings. He has successfully managed multiple projects with zero days lost due to injury.

Blake has volunteered his time in multiple construction related projects, including traveling to Africa, to assist in the construction of the Hospital of Hope in Mango, Togo. The project included electrical, metal roofing, concrete and woodworking. He also spent time in Lisbon, Portugal, building custom cabinetry for a local missionary. Finally, he aided in the launch of Purposeful Design in Indianapolis, Indiana. PD is a program to teach woodworking/cabinetmaking to marginalized communities in the inner-city of Indianapolis.
