On Saturday, CANVAS Condominiums, Downtown Miami’s newest 513-unit tower, saw over 200 trucks stationed on its lot to begin the concrete pour of the building’s foundation. This 2,000-yard pour was completed by Stiles Construction.

Beginning at 6:30am and taking eight hours to complete, three pumps and approximately 220 trucks lined the streets adjacent to the lot to service the concrete. The pumps worked at around 300 yards an hour to complete the project. CANVAS broke ground in mid-February and this marks the next phase of the building’s construction. Slated for completion in early 2018, the arrival of CANVAS marks an ongoing effort to reshape this community as Miami’s leading district for arts and entertainment, which will connect Wynwood Arts District, Design District and Midtown to Downtown Miami for the first time.

“This marks a very exciting time for our team as we embark on the next phase of construction for CANVAS,” says principle and co-founder of NR Investments Nir Shoshani. “CANVAS stands to fill a void in our community for young professionals looking for affordable luxury and we are excited to be one step closer to delivering that.”

“Stiles is proud to be part of such an exciting project that is leading the redevelopment of the Arts & Entertainment District and serving the needs of this component of the market, making it a win-win for both the residents and the City of Miami” says Timothy B. Fiske, Senior Vice President of Stiles Construction.
